The Embassy of Uganda in Paris is showcasing Uganda’s tourism and investment potential at the 47th International & French Tourism Market (IFTM) Expo, taking place at the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The Embassy is leading Team Uganda, comprising prominent Ugandan and French tour operators, to position the country as a competitive destination for tourism and related investment.

The IFTM Expo is the leading B2B trade exhibition for the French and European tourism industry. It convenes thousands of professionals across leisure travel, business tourism, MICE, group travel, and technology, making it a premier platform for innovation, collaboration, and business development within the global travel sector.
France is one of Uganda’s fastest-growing tourist source markets, with visitor numbers on a steady rise. Leveraging this growth, the Embassy is working strategically to enhance Uganda’s profile in France and expand market share. Over the course of the three-day exhibition, Team Uganda is presenting the country’s diverse attractions—ranging from wildlife and adventure to culture and heritage—alongside opportunities for investment in Uganda’s hospitality and tourism value chain.

This initiative aligns with the Embassy’s Economic and Commercial Diplomacy (ECD) Program, designed to strengthen Uganda’s presence in France, Spain, and Portugal. As part of the program, the Embassy organizes regular familiarization trips for European tour operators, influencers, and travel media, offering them firsthand exposure to Uganda’s unique experiences.

By engaging at IFTM, the Embassy seeks to drive increased tourist arrivals, attract investment partnerships, and reinforce Uganda’s positioning as a premier travel destination in Africa.
