The Pearl of Africa Tourism Expo (POATE) 2024 is yet again set to showcase Uganda’s unique and highly embellished tourism industry coupled with investment opportunities and discoveries.
Hosted by the Uganda Tourism Board, POATE 2024 is set to take off starting 23rd to the 25th of May 2024 at the exquisite Speke Resort Convention Centre in Munyonyo, Kampala. This three-day extravaganza promises an exhilarating fusion of tradition, modernity, and the relentless pursuit of sustainable tourism practices.
This year’s expo will run under the theme of “Responsible Tourism,” and seeks to redefine the tourism narrative, placing sustainability and conservation at its core.

This eighth edition of POATE promises to pull the highest number of expo goers ever. The expo will not just be about showcasing Uganda’s breathtaking landscapes or its rich cultural heritage; it will further aim at forging partnerships, fostering collaboration, and charting a course towards responsible tourism. Over 100 hosted buyers, 200 exhibitors, and more than 5,000 trade visitors and consumers from across the globe will converge at this epicenter of tourism excellence.
