President Museveni Welcomes Seven New Envoys

In a diplomatic ceremony hosted at State House, Entebbe, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni extended a gracious welcome to seven newly appointed Ambassadors and High Commissioners, representing a diverse array of nations including Algeria, Austria, Belarus, Zambia, Kuwait, Bangladesh, and Botswana.

The formal presentation of credentials marked a significant step towards fostering international collaboration and strengthening diplomatic ties for Uganda. President Museveni, in his address, underscored the government’s unwavering commitment to working closely with each envoy to deepen the bonds of friendship and cooperation.

The reciprocal commitment from the Ambassadors, emphasizing mutual respect and cooperation, sets a positive tone for future diplomatic endeavors. Noteworthy is the bilateral exchange between the Ambassador of Algeria, H.E. Mohamed Khelifi, and President Museveni regarding the potential import of quality milk from Uganda to Algeria.

Such economic prospects showcase the tangible benefits arising from these diplomatic engagements. As Zambia’s Ambassador, H.E. Mathews Jere, conveyed warm greetings and a commitment to fortify bilateral relations, the ceremony highlighted Uganda’s growing role on the global stage.
