Qatar Airways has announced a substantial increase in its flight frequency to Entebbe, Uganda, in response to heightened summer demand. From August 1 to September 30, the airline will operate 11 weekly flights between Doha and Entebbe, an increase from the current daily service.
Hendrik du Preez, Qatar Airways’ Vice President for Africa, highlighted the enhanced connectivity for passengers traveling from Uganda to various international destinations. He emphasized the airline’s dedication to improving air connectivity across Africa and strengthening economic relationships.
This expansion is part of Qatar Airways’ broader strategy to capitalize on Africa’s growing market potential. The airline has recently added several new African destinations to its network, including Kinshasa, Abidjan, and Harare.
With 180 weekly flights to various African destinations, Qatar Airways is demonstrating its long-term commitment to the continent. The airline’s expansion is anticipated to significantly contribute to the growth of Africa’s aviation sector, with passenger traffic expected to nearly double by 2035.
