Uganda made a commanding appearance at the World Travel Market (WTM) London 2025, reaffirming its position as one of Africa’s most captivating and diverse travel destinations. The three-day global tourism exhibition, offered the perfect stage for Uganda to present its rich blend of natural beauty, wildlife, adventure, and culture to an international audience.
Showcasing the “Explore Uganda” Experience
Under the national tourism brand “Explore Uganda: The Pearl of Africa”, Team Uganda delivered a dynamic and visually engaging showcase that captured the imagination of thousands of visitors. The delegation, led by the Minister of Tourism, Wildlife and Antiquities together with the Chief Executive Officer of the Uganda Tourism Board (UTB), Ms. Juliana Kaggwa, highlighted the country’s wide-ranging tourism opportunities and its growing appeal as both a leisure and investment destination.
Through compelling presentations, visual storytelling, and authentic cultural experiences, the team demonstrated Uganda’s distinctive attractions, from the mist-covered mountains that shelter endangered gorillas to the dramatic landscapes of its national parks, the calm waters of its lakes, and the thrilling adventures along the River Nile. The delegation also emphasized Uganda’s commitment to sustainable tourism and community-led initiatives that ensure visitors contribute positively to local livelihoods.
A Vibrant and Authentic Presence in London
The Uganda stand, located in the bustling Africa Hall, quickly became one of the most talked about exhibits at the event. Designed to reflect the warmth and diversity of Uganda, it offered a rich, multi-sensory journey that immersed guests in the essence of the destination.
Visitors were treated to traditional music and dance performances, interactive sessions with tourism professionals, and immersive videos that showcased Uganda’s natural wonders and cultural heritage. The experience allowed travel professionals and visitors to engage directly with Ugandan tour operators, hoteliers, and destination managers, fostering valuable connections and partnerships.
This lively and authentic presentation not only displayed Uganda’s tourism potential but also conveyed the country’s welcoming spirit, which continues to captivate travelers from around the world.

Building Bridges and Strengthening Partnerships
Beyond the visual showcase, Team Uganda held productive meetings with tour operators, travel agents, media representatives, and investors. These engagements focused on strengthening partnerships, developing new market linkages, and increasing tourist arrivals from the United Kingdom, Europe, and other regions.
The Ugandan delegation also used the platform to highlight opportunities for investment in tourism infrastructure, hospitality, and conservation projects. Such collaborations are key to enhancing the quality of tourism services, improving accessibility, and positioning Uganda as a globally competitive destination.
The Pearl of Africa on the Global Stage
Uganda’s participation in WTM London 2025 went beyond promotion.
